As UX Researcher at Sports Interactive, you will reinforce our design teams across the studio with user-centric methodologies to inform their creative and development processes.

You will hold a specialist position supporting a wide range of products, tools and designers in their quest for quality, leveraging both internal and external resources and making key suggestions. You will champion for accessibility best practices and features to ensure the widest range of players can enjoy our games.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive internal and external qualitative and quantitative research to raise awareness about player behaviour throughout all our titles.
  • Support the design team with user-centric methodologies and data insight to inform their creative and development process.
  • Focus on onboarding phases of all products and identify key areas of improvement.
  • Create documentation to guide Quality Assurance and Playtest teams gather and formalise key feedback to submit to the Design and Features teams.
  • Build an on-going process with Business Intelligence to gather and leverage data insight effectively.
  • Champion for accessibility best practices and features across our products, and review new proposals through an accessibility lens.
  • Organise and observe playtesting sessions to report to the design team.
  • Interrogate designers’ needs to drive the quality of their toolset.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or relevant experience in cognitive psychology, behavioural science or similar fields.
  • Portfolio of published work and/or relevant work experience.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Deep sense of empathy and patience.
  • Strong rational thinking and data-informed approach.
  • Proactive listener and approachable nature.
  • Passionate about accessibility issues and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Football Manager is a plus.
  • Previous experience in the games industry is a plus.
