London

About

At R3 we’re transforming the world’s economy. Our Corda DLT platform is built to run complex workflows between businesses, without needing centralized points of control. Designed for the needs of financial markets infrastructures, it’s trusted by banks, stock exchanges, insurance companies, payments companies, and others to deliver hugely reliable and scalable systems. A core part of the Corda vision is that we offer the best platform for digital currencies. We have been working closely with large numbers of the world’s central and commercial banks for more than 6 years to make this a reality.

About your Internship:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated individual to join our Digital Currencies team as an intern User Experience Designer. Your role will revolve around designing user interfaces that are elegant and intuitive and ensuring that we have a consistent look and feel across our products. During your internship, you will engage in weekly one-to-one sessions with your manager to discuss feedback and set goals for the upcoming week. You’ll gain insights from leaders across the organisation, offering you a holistic view of how a pioneering tech start-up operates from Product to Sales. You’ll showcase your work, learning from experienced team members, and make the most of the opportunities presented during your internship.

About You:

  • You have a solid foundation of knowledge in UI/UX design fundamentals
  • You are enthusiastic about the craft of a UX designer and seek out opportunities to learn new tools, techniques, and best practices
  • You have an excellent ability to communicate clearly and present your ideas to a range of audiences
  • You are excited and motivated by the challenge of solving hard problems, and you are open to receiving feedback that will help you to learn, improve, and grow as a designer

Responsibilities:

  • Work across teams to help each team define the interfaces that the teams will deliver, while ensuring that the teams are coordinated and consistent
  • Convert technical requirements and/or product requirements into user journeys and flows, user personas, intuitive wireframes, and mockups
  • Design user interfaces which are visually appealing and allow users to perform the tasks that they will need in a logical, intuitive way
  • Attend team demos and iterate designs based on feedback from engineering and products teams

Additional Information:

  • Our Summer internship will be running from June-September 2024 and we can therefore only consider applicants who can commit to these time frames
  • We cannot provide sponsorship for this position so candidates will need to have the right to work in the UK to be considered
