Senior UX Designer

The Role

We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to support our growing portfolio of products – including both established and new customer solutions.

Prosper builds personalized and simple financial solutions for our customers. We believe in tapping into our engaged user base through rigorous qualitative and quantitative research to uncover their unmet needs and improve their financial lives. As a Senior UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to create intuitive and user-centered designs that drive business goals.

You will lead design initiatives, mentor junior designers, and contribute to the overall strategy and vision of our UX team.

Problems You Will Solve

  • Design across various digital product experiences, ensuring a cohesive and user-centric approach.
  • Partner with the UX peers to establish company-wide design principles, foster team engagement with design systems, and lead the documentation and organization of the system.
  • Be the primary contributor and advocate for the Prosper Design System while also contributing to broader UX initiatives.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design ideas and interactions.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to develop requirements, assess technical constraints, and ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for our design system in ZeroHeight
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Advocate for the user and ensure their needs are at the forefront of design decisions.

About You

  • 8+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Deep expertise in using Figma.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Extensive experience conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Extensive experience contributing to and maintaining design systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex design problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or experience in web or mobile development is a plus.
  • Experience in the financial sector or other highly regulated industries is a plus.

$136,000 - $170,000 a year

Compensation details: The salary for this position is $136,000 - $170,000 annually, plus bonus and generous benefits. In determining your salary, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
