Podimo is one of the fastest-growing podcast & audiobook platforms in Europe and we are now looking for a Senior Product Designer to design across App and Web platforms. Your role

As we’re continuing our journey towards becoming the best bite-sized audio platform in the world, we are building a strong design team. We know the value of great user experiences and amazing design, and want to invest further into this area to keep our products top of the line. This is where you enter the picture! We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer. If you have a burning passion for design, a great track record, and you love collaborating with talented people with experience from Meta, Google, Spotify etc., then you’ll fit right in.

Your daily life will consist of shaping our listeners’ and creators’ experiences across our services, from validating hypotheses and first concepts to final shipped features. You’ll be working closely with our Design,- UX research-, product-, and development teams on a daily basis. Furthermore, you’ll regularly meet with teams from other departments so you always have a holistic overview of the business goals and user behaviour, across the funnels and channels.

You will help bring ideas from concept to release while advocating for clean and understandable solutions along the whole journey. You are an effective diplomat with strong communication and organisational skills. You are patient, understanding, ego-free, and eager to give and receive constructive feedback.

Your main responsibilities in this role:

  • Innovate and design our podcast & audiobook experience across our products.
  • Work closely with our product managers, UX researchers, and data team to validate hypotheses and improve the product with a data-driven mindset.
  • Help evolve our design system and design processes.
  • Support our products discovery and ideation phase to explore future features and bets.
  • Be a core part of our mobile product and tech team and help us reach our roadmap goals from a design perspective.
  • Be a key player in continuously improving and shaping our product strategy
  • Support on setting key goals for your dedicated squad through an in-depth understanding of our user experience and business insights.

About you

You are a creative and positive go-getter, with relevant experience, and excellent analytical and communication skills. You love product design and have extensive knowledge of mobile design on both iOS and Android.

You love working in startups and are comfortable with an ever-shifting environment, where directions and goals change. You're autonomous and great at taking the lead on projects, knowing that often it's better to create something small and powerful and get insights before we build the full rocket ship.

Last but not least you are open-minded, curious and are interested in the podcasts and audiobook space.

Experience we're looking for

  • A minimum of 7+ years experience in user product design for consumers
  • Strong expertise and background in app design
  • Deep knowledge of Apple & Android platform design conventions
  • Rigorous attention to detail and consistency
  • Mastery of Figma and other design/animation tools
  • Comfortable working across multiple projects at once
  • Flexible and productive in the face of ambiguity and change during a project
  • Proactive collaborator and communicator, experienced working in cross-functional teams
  • Experience presenting user experience goals and advocating for design choices with senior leadership
  • Proven track record of self-direction, follow-through and successful delivery
  • Great metric understanding and comfortable with quantitative/qualitative data.

Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!

  • A short phone conversation (with VP of Product Design, Christian Lomholt)
  • Case interview with design exercise (with VP of Product Design, Christian Lomholt and colleague)
  • Stakeholder interviews (with CPO, PM, and UX Researcher)

We might change it up to make sure it makes sense. Our main focus is to run an efficient and enjoyable interview process. We will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and the preferred starting date is August or shortly thereafter.
