The Product Design Team at Guideline is focused on delivering innovative, user-centered solutions that make a real impact.

From designing tools that help individuals navigate their financial future to building new retirement offerings, the Product Design team plays a central role in contributing to Guideline’s mission of ensuring everyone arrives at retirement with a plan.
What You'll Work On
- Partner with product management, engineering, design and research teams to define and implement growth initiatives
- Lead the design strategy and oversee the execution from concept to implementation within your area
- Help refine and deliver clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities
- Craft intuitive and engaging user journeys that connect with our audience
- Design and deliver high-quality product enhancements
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience designing for cross-platform web and mobile applications
- Demonstrated ability to design simple solutions to complex user problems
- Strong storytelling and communication to articulate design decisions across the broader organization
- An eye for high-quality, well-crafted visual and interaction design
- Ability to balance between short-term feature building and long-term business goals
While it's not required, it's an added plus if you also have:
- Previous experience on a growth team
- Fintech or related industry experience
- Experience with research and user-testing
- A knack for navigating ambiguous problems and shaping them into clear goals

Compensation
At Guideline, we believe compensation should be fair and equitable. We take a data-driven approach to set our compensation bands; the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Metro+:
The base salary range for this position is $170,500 - $188,000 annually.
Metro:
The base salary range for this position is $154,000 - $171,500 annually.
National:
The base salary range for this position is $147,500 - $165,000 annually.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to receive equity in the form of Incentive Stock Options (ISOs).
