Responsibilities:

• Lead the Design Vision: Take charge of the end-to-end design process, from concept to delivery, for Alkira’s on-demand network infrastructure products. Help drive the design vision by collaborating closely with other designers, cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership
• Collaborate: Work collaboratively with customers, designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design solutions with product goals and technical feasibility. Foster a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives
• Design: Champion user-centric design principles to ensure our products not only meet but exceed user expectations. Conduct user research, gather insights, and translate them into compelling design solutions
• Innovate and Iterate: Bring fresh ideas to the table and contribute to our culture of continuous improvement. Iterate designs based on feedback, user testing, and evolving industry best practices
• Evangelize: Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements, emerging solutions, market trends, and innovative opportunities. Serve as a subject matter expert, inspiring and sharing knowledge with teams to foster a design culture rooted in continuous growth and learning

Qualifications:

• 3 - 4 years of hands-on experience in product / user experience design. Experience building B2B or similar product experiences is a plus
• Proficient in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and InVision. Strong visual design skills and an eye for detail
• Proven experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating findings into actionable design improvements
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to articulate design decisions and rationale effectively to cross-functional teams
• A passion for innovation, an eye for obsessive attention to detail and a track record of pushing creative boundaries in product design

Additional Requirements:

• BS/BA or higher degree in Human Factors or Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Psychology, Product Design, or equivalent work experience
• Showcase your ability to lead the design process, solve complex problems, and deliver exceptional user experiences (portfolios, presentations, videos, etc.). Feel free to use ANY medium that aids you to share your story better
• Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and native JavaScript-based libraries like React.js, is a plus
• Knack for information visualization for Enterprise products and knowledge of visualization libraries like D3.js, Highcharts.js, etc. are a big plus
• Experience using analytics platforms like Heap, Hotjar, etc. is a plus

What we offer:

• Based on California pay transparency law, the annual salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000. Your actual base salary and level will be determined on a case by case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education and location. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at Alkira.
