We are looking for a Junior Product Designer to integrate with our design team and help build our internal products. You will be Reporting to our Product Designer and working alongside our Analysis and Design Expert, Business Analysts and Product Owners who will guide and support you in this journey.

We are looking for

We are in search of a Junior Product Designer (0.5 to 3 year experience) who resonates with our Purpose, Vision, and Values and is eager to contribute to a team where these principles are more than words – they guide our actions. About the role

As a Junior Product Designer joining our small, remotely distributed Design Team, you will learn about the returns market and post-purchase user experience and help develop some of our internal products used worldwide. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and have the opportunity to improve your communication and management skills. You will learn how to use our Design System, build wireframes in Figma, document your work, do development handover, and support the development teams during the implementation phase. Working in a dynamic environment, you'll contribute to our grown-up mindset by integrating scrum ceremonies and working in an agile environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Help design ZigZag internal products.

  • Have a good understanding of who our users are, their needs, and how to deliver experiences that are tailored for them.
  • Create user journeys and flows to understand problems and create smart solutions.
  • Work on the information architecture, making complex navigation, intuitive.
  • Create wireframes and prototypes that strive for simple and intuitive solutions for complex problems using our existing visual systems and/or standards.
  • Maintain a high bar for usability, consistency, and accessibility by applying User-Centred Design
  • Document your work and prepare files for development handoff.

Advocate for the Design System

  • Contribute to the design system as you design new products/ features and create new components.
  • Partner with Marketing to continuously improve our brand and visual identity based on advancements in Product Design.
  • Promote the use of our design system to ensure product consistency.
  • Organise content and information and expand existing components, focusing on user goals, usability, and accessibility.
  • Contribute to our guidelines and documentation.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Owners, Engineers, Data Scientists, and other colleagues, to actively define the customers, business and user needs.
  • Present new features & results to the team & stakeholders.
  • Ensure design doesn’t work in a silo, but instead is a culmination of collaborative input and feedback.
  • Participate in agile development ceremonies to ensure design solutions are implemented correctly.

Research and Knowledge

  • Do active research and use new findings to reach company and design team goals.
  • Perform competitor analysis for effective approaches & trends.
  • Understand our customers deeply so we can adapt our products to them and their users.
  • Stay up to date with emerging design trends and best practices, and proactively apply this knowledge to improve our product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or similar experience (intensive courses) in Design areas applicable to the Product Design role.
  • Figma basic experience (mandatory).
  • Balsamiq experience is a plus.
  • Innovative and disruptive mindset.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Eager to learn and grow.
  • English proficiency (speaking and writing - 100% English job).
  • A portfolio that shows work in the UX/UI field; Figma or Adobe XD skills; wireframing and prototyping; research and documentation.
  • Team spirit.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
