In this role, you’ll be the customer's voice as you collaborate with Engineering, Product, Experience Research, Data Science, and business partners to build compelling products. You will solve problems with cross-functional partners in collaborative teams, that enable designers to do their best work. As part of a product-driven and design-led company, you'll play a key role in a team of Product Designers owning core product development from inception to iteration and post-launch reflection. This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. Along with most Asanas, you’ll work from this office in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. What you’ll achieve

  • Own the design from start to finish on a single project or set of focused tasks within a border initiative for Asana products and features
  • Create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity user interfaces
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to shape customer problems, build, implement and ship solutions
  • Work under the direction of a seasoned designer in order to execute against an established strategy and learn new methodologies for divergent thinking.
  • Help shape a product that is intuitive and elegant, which speaks from a unified voice

About you

  • Up to 1 year of experience in product design (Either strong internship experience or 1 year of professional experience)
  • A portfolio that showcases strong foundation in interaction and interface design work
  • Experience designing and shipping web, desktop, and/or native mobile applications
  • An ability to express ideas via rich stories, prototypes and code
  • Aptitude to come up with novel, simple solutions
  • You embody openness, curiosity, and a growth mindset

What we’ll offer

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit..

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $120,000 - $146,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed base salary above is a guideline, and the base salary for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
