The Director of Product Design will lead and scale Weave’s Product Design organization

This role is responsible for defining a compelling design strategy, building and developing high-performing teams, and ensuring design is deeply embedded in how we solve problems and deliver value to customers. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to align design outcomes with company objectives. This is a highly visible leadership role with broad organizational impact.

What You Will Own

  • Define, articulate and execute a clear Product Design vision and strategy aligned to company and product goals.
  • Ensure a cohesive, high-quality user experience across all product features and touchpoints.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of Product Designers, UX Researchers, and people managers.
  • Create a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous growth within the design organization.
  • Champion user-centered design by embedding research, discovery, and usability testing into product development.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to ensure we are solving the right problems in the right ways.
  • Oversee the evolution and governance of the design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and speed.
  • Define and track OKRs and KPIs that measure the impact of design on customer experience and business outcomes.
  • Communicate design strategy, concepts, and results clearly to executive stakeholders.
  • Serve as a thought leader internally and externally, elevating the design function and its impact across the business.

What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Design, UX, or a related field.
  • Significant experience leading and scaling design teams, including developing people managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute a design vision that drives measurable business and customer outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in user-centered design principles, research methodologies, and modern product development practices.
  • Experience owning or evolving a design system at scale.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, and Executive leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate strategically while staying connected to tactical execution in a fast-paced environment.
