We are seeking a Senior UX Design and Research Consultant for a user-centered design engagement in the energy transmission sector; the role combines UX research and UX/UI design (Figma) and will work closely with product and development teams.

Your tasks

• Conduct and document user research activities (on-site observations, interviews, user tests, surveys, literature reviews) and maintain a research repository
• Collect, analyse and synthesise user insights and translate findings into actionable recommendations for product development
• Create and maintain detailed personas, experience maps and user journeys based on research and data analysis
• Design wireframes, interaction flows and high-fidelity UI in Figma and produce clickable prototypes for user evaluation
• Define and validate interaction models and measurable KPIs through user testing to ensure functional and intuitive interfaces
• Prepare and facilitate workshops for functional framing, ideation, co-design and usability evaluation with relevant stakeholders
• Coordinate and run user testing, surveys and focus groups and share findings and recommendations with product and development teams
• Handover designs and documentation to developers, collaborate on implementation details, and ensure alignment between UX and development
• Produce user flows, process flows, sitemaps, presentations and documentation, and participate in UX Chapter and Product Team activities to ensure common UX standards and knowledge sharing

Must have competences

• Senior-level experience in UX (degree, certification, or relevant project experience)
• Experience in writing processes, documentation and presentations
• German language skills (native or fluent) mandatory
• Professional proficiency in English
• Personal project references demonstrating the required experience, not older than 3 years

Nice to have competences

• 5+ years expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods
• 5+ years expertise in UX/UI design for complex workflows
• Experience creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs
• Experience with design software (Figma) and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Miro)
• Ability to use a design system in Figma
• Technical understanding of building web applications
• Ability to use the research tool Condens (optional)
• Experience within the energy sector (optional)
