Web Designer Role
VELUX America is actively seeking a talented and data-driven Web Designer to play a pivotal role in our Demand Generation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating visually compelling and user-friendly designs for our websites, email campaigns, and digital marketing materials, in close collaboration with the Demand Generation Marketing Manager and internal and external agencies. This role is crucial in enhancing and strengthening the web and email experience for our customers. It therefore requires a solid foundation in graphic and web design principles and a strong understanding of UI and UX fundamentals.
Position Location: This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence at our Fort Mill, SC office three days per week (Mo-Wed).
Starting Monthly Salary: $5,375 – $8,063
Primary Responsibilities
- Executing high-quality visual designs for websites, landing pages, email campaigns, and other digital marketing assets.
- Creating sophisticated wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate complex design concepts and user flows effectively.
- Designing with a mobile-first approach, ensuring all visual elements are responsive and adapt seamlessly across various screen sizes and devices.
- Contributing to the design of visual variations for A/B testing, using data-driven insights to optimize website performance and user engagement.
- Creating and executing comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with our business objectives, targeting relevant keywords and audience segments.
- Working closely with the content team to develop SEO-friendly content that attracts and engages our target audience. Provide recommendations for content creation and optimization.
- Developing and maintaining consistent brand visuals across all web properties.
- Continuously researching and incorporating the latest web design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep our online presence modern and effective.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Web Design
- 3-5 years in web graphic design role or similar position
- Proficient in Sitecore CMS or have related CMS experience
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing a range of web design projects and graphic design skills.
- A keen eye for detail, a commitment to pixel-perfect execution, and a passion for high-quality design.
- Solid understanding of web design principles, user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) best practices, and responsive design.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, and Figma, or Sketch.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Expertise in using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and various third-party SEO tools for technical audits and performance analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize websites and landing pages
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies
- Proven organizational and project management skills, including handling multiple concurrent projects.
