The role

As a Product Designer, you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You’ll play a pivotal role in defining and delivering exceptional product experiences and be central to both the design process and the people involved. We don’t expect anyone to be the complete designer, but we’re excited to meet ambitious people who are passionate about growing their career in digital design. You’re looking to make your mark within a large, global design practice, developing into a well-rounded design consultant who thrives at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and craft.

Role responsibilities

  • Be comfortable collaborating on discovery activities - uncovering user needs, business goals, and growth opportunities that shape clear, evidence-led product strategies.
  • Facilitate co-creation and alignment workshops with clients, users, and internal teams to surface insights, validate assumptions, and establish a shared vision for the product/platform experience.
  • Help create end-to-end experience frameworks and design systems for scaling digital platforms, applications, and cross-channel ecosystems.
  • Translate insight into elegant, functional, and brand-aligned design solutions, that meet both user needs, business conversion expectations, and technical realities.
  • Prototype, test, and iterate to validate your thinking and accelerate learning, ensuring ideas are grounded in data and user feedback.
  • Champion a test-and-learn culture, applying experimentation frameworks, A/B and multivariate testing, and data-led refinement to optimise conversion, retention, and engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts, and product owners to interpret behavioural insights and identify opportunities.
  • Be responsible for your design delivery and execution, creating high-fidelity, production-ready assets and specifications that translate seamlessly into development.
  • Partner with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation, alignment to design intent, and adherence to accessibility, performance, and brand standards.
  • Oversee design QA during development and release, maintaining visual and experiential integrity across devices, contexts, and platforms.
  • Champion accessibility and inclusive design, embedding best practices to ensure products are usable and valuable for all audiences.
  • Mentor and support junior designers across other workstreams, raising standards of craft, consistency, and critical thinking within the team.
  • Guide clients through ambiguity, providing clarity and confidence through structured, evidence-led design practices.

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end product design.
  • A strong grasp of interaction design, UX principles, and design systems.
  • A blend of both design craft and analytical thinking - creating elegant solutions backed by evidence.
  • Excellent facilitation skills and experience running or co-creating workshops and discovery sessions.
  • Ability to translate complexity into clarity, through visuals and storytelling.
  • Working experience with Figma, Miro, and other prototyping and collaboration tools.
  • A track record of consulting and partnering directly with client stakeholders.
  • An understanding of agile methodologies and working within cross-functional product teams.
  • A collaborative approach that prioritises the work and supports the success of everyone involved.
  • A desire to share your views and experience with the wider Valtech design community, mentoring those in more junior roles.
