The Role
As a UX Designer, you will be part of the Digital Product team working across the portfolio of digital products. You will assist the Digital Product team in planning, designing, prototyping, and delivering new product concepts and features across the USTA Network of sites. UX plays a critical role as they are looked to be the voice of the user and own the user testing and research processes. In this role youll report to the Senior Manager of UX Design and Research.
Responsibilities:
- User Research - Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points
- Competitive analysis - Analyze competitor products and services to identify best practices and areas for improvement
- Market research - Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to inform design decisions
- Information architecture - Plan and organize the structure of a website or application to ensure users can easily find what they need
- Wireframing - Create low-fidelity, skeletal layouts to plan the structure and functionality of a product
- Prototyping - Develop interactive prototypes to test design ideas and gather feedback from users
- Visual Design - Collaborate with UI (User Interface) designers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
- Interaction Design - Focus on how users interact with the product, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
- Usability Testing - Conduct tests with real users to identify usability issues and areas for improvement.
- Feedback Analysis - Analyze user feedback and test results to iterate on designs and improve the user experience.
- A/B Testing - Run A/B tests to compare different design variations and measure their effectiveness
- Stakeholder Communication - Present design ideas and findings to stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and clients
- Team Collaboration - Work closely with other designers, developers, and product managers to ensure a cohesive and user-centered product
- Hand-off to Developers - Provide clear and detailed design specifications to developers to ensure accurate implementation.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience in UX design, with a demonstrated ability to deliver impactful results.
- Bachelors degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in user research, interaction design, design systems, design psychology, visual design, and prototyping.
- Excellent communication, time management, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Figma, UserTesting and HotJar, etc.
- A compelling project portfolio showcasing various UX projects and a strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
- Basic understanding of web programming languages - HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- This position is located out of one of two NY-area offices (Purchase, NY or NYC) designated as "hybrid/flex" and may allow for both remote and on-site work.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is 75,000 - 85,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicants qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
