TryHackMe are hiring a

Product Designer (B2C)

TryHackMe helps millions of people go from cybersecurity beginner to job-ready through hands-on, gamified learning. Today more than 7 million users use TryHackMe to build real cybersecurity skills. We’re hiring a Product Designer (B2C) to elevate the core learning experience on TryHackMe. You’ll design the systems that guide users from beginner to certified - shaping certifications, progression, assessments, and the underlying platform experience. Your work will define how millions of people experience learning cybersecurity.

The Role

You’ll partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers across:

  • Certifications
  • Platform / Core Experience
  • Broader B2C initiatives where needed

Your mission: Design intuitive, scalable learning experiences that guide users from beginner to job-ready.

You will:

  • Design new product initiatives, such as future certifications.
  • Improve certification experiences (clarity, flow, assessment UX, feedback loops).
  • Simplify complex technical workflows.
  • Improve the core product experience used daily by millions of learners.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to solve user problems.
  • Balance user needs with long-term platform scalability.

This role requires comfort working on deeper product problems - not just surface UI polish.

What We Value in Designers

Great designers at TryHackMe combine strong product thinking with speed and ownership. The most successful people in this role tend to:

  • Design with conviction - form clear opinions and take responsibility for decisions.
  • Move with speed - share work early, iterate quickly, and refine through feedback.
  • Focus on impact - care about improving the product, not just producing designs.
  • Collaborate deeply - work closely with PMs and engineers to reach the best outcome.
  • Communicate clearly - make your thinking visible so the team understands the reasoning behind decisions.
  • Show strong product sense - simplify complexity and make thoughtful trade-offs.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Have 3+ years designing consumer web or app products.
  • Have designed complex workflows (education, SaaS, tooling, dashboards, etc.).
  • Think in outcomes, not just screens.
  • Care deeply about clarity and user experience.
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and foundational product work.
  • Can lead discovery and define problems clearly.
  • Use both qualitative research and product data to guide decisions.
  • Can defend trade-offs thoughtfully.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in learning platforms or certification products.
  • Experience improving multi-step workflows.
  • Experience contributing to or building design systems.
