Consultant Graduate Experience Designer

Entry-level consultants jumpstart their careers with our First Year Experience program: our year-long program that starts with Thoughtworks University, starts with a four-week immersive training in India. Attendance is mandatory, as this in-person experience is an essential part of the program. Candidates must be available to travel and stay in India for the full duration of this initial phase. Once participants return to their home country, the program continues with monthly sessions dedicated to specific topics and ongoing development. And it’s important to call out that we consider tech talent from all walks of life. Whether you’re a computer science major with less than one year of professional experience, a coding boot camp graduate or a career changer who is working toward becoming a support engineer, you have the opportunity to grow in our community of passionate technologists.

Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with small, cross-functional teams to create a wide range of experience design deliverables including journey maps, service blueprints, roadmaps, prototypes and design systems.
- Participate in workshops, helping to develop design strategies and gather input from clients and teammates.
- Contribute to project planning and design decisions, while learning from experienced designers.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
- You have less than one year of professional experience working as a designer.
- You have a foundational understanding of experience design, with a strong interest in exploring areas such as user research, service design, digital product design, interface design, visual design or other design-related disciplines.
- You can participate in research activities on experience design projects, employing different methods such as contextual inquiry, moderated interviews, experiments, user testing, etc.
- You have a keen interest in product design and participating in client brainstorms and internal sessions with your team.
Professional Skills
- Strong willingness to collaborate and learn from experienced teammates.
- Clear communicator, capable of explaining ideas and taking direction from senior designers.
- Enthusiasm for user-centered design and a passion for creating impactful digital products.
- A desire to build your skills and knowledge in a professional design environment.
Please share a portfolio link that showcases your expertise in digital products – web and mobile. Enterprise / SaaS experience in your field is preferred.
