This position is based in the United States within our Digital Commerce Platform (DCP) division, contributing to our digital projects and innovations.

Discover Impactful Work:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UI/UX Engineer to join our User Experience team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and growth of our Komodo design system and commerce platform. This role requires a unique blend of design expertise, engineering proficiency, and a passion for creating flawless user experiences. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring design consistency, enhancing scalability, and enabling efficient integration of components across digital products.

A day in the Life:

  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to transform designs into functional components.
  • Ensure components are optimized for performance and compatibility.
  • Attend daily stand-ups to align with the team.
  • Code reusable, accessible, and adaptable UI components.
  • Conduct accessibility tests to meet WCAG standards.
  • Update documentation with usage guidelines and examples.
  • Review implementations to ensure they align with the design system consistently.
  • Plan and prioritize next steps to improve scalability and user experience.

Keys to Success:

To excel in this position, it is essential to be diligent, have a demonstrated history in website development, and show dedication to upholding coding standards.

Education

College degree or equivalent experience is vital.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience in UI development.
  • Proven expertise in developing and maintaining design systems.
  • Experience with various front-end frameworks and development tools.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in tools like Storybook and Figma.
  • Ability to implement WCAG accessibility standards.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

This role is primarily for remote work. Occasional travel may be required to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
