Mopar eCommerce Lead Product Designer & Experience Architect, Vehicle Customizer

Role Overview

As the Lead Product Designer & Experience Architect – Vehicle Customizer, you will design, prototype, and build the next‑generation customer‑facing Mopar Vehicle Customizer on store.Mopar.com. This tool will allow customers to:

  • Build & price accessories
  • Explore service parts
  • Interact with 360° interior and exterior visualizations across Stellantis brands

You will own the complete design, user experience, interaction model, and front‑end product architecture, ensuring the tool operates seamlessly within the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem—including Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK. Adobe Experience Platform enables centralized customer data, real‑time journey insights, cross‑channel personalization, and unified content delivery—critical to designing rich, personalized digital experiences. This role is directly tied to delivering Mopar’s $175M U.S. eCommerce revenue target by YE 2027 by optimizing the customer journey, increasing attach rate, improving conversion, and elevating overall digital experience quality.

Key Responsibilities

Experience Design & Architecture

  • Design the full end‑to‑end customer experience for the Mopar Vehicle Customizer, spanning discovery → configuration → pricing → add‑to‑cart → checkout.
  • Create high‑fidelity UI/UX prototypes, interaction flows, motion/3D interaction models, and accessibility‑compliant designs (WCAG 2.2 AA).
  • Architect how the customizer integrates with Adobe Experience Cloud, leveraging tools such as:
    • Adobe Experience Platform (centralized, standardized real‑time customer data)
    • Adobe Experience Manager for content components and asset delivery
    • Adobe Analytics for experience measurement and funnel optimization
    • Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK for unified customer event collection and personalization rules
  • Partner with engineering to ensure the design system, UI components, and 3D interactions are implemented with visual accuracy and performance.

3D/360° Visualization Leadership

  • Define UX principles for 3D/AR product interaction, interior/exterior rotation, zoom, lighting, part placement, and contextual overlays.
  • Oversee the 3D asset pipeline (modeling, texture fidelity, optimization, LOD management) and collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
  • Benchmark industry‑leading customizers (Harley‑Davidson, Polaris Slingshot) to deliver best‑in‑class experiences.

Product Creation & Execution

  • Transform customer needs, market insights, and brand direction into intuitive, immersive design solutions.
  • Lead discovery, ideation, usability testing, and iterative design cycles.
  • Build design specifications for engineering teams, ensuring feasibility and platform alignment.
  • Ensure robust integration with data sources such as PIM/MDM (fitment rules, ACES/PIES), pricing, inventory, CRM, and checkout flows.

Analytics, Optimization & Personalization

  • Collaborate with analytics teams to establish KPIs, tracking plans, and behavioral event schemas using Adobe Analytics and Customer Journey Analytics.
  • Leverage Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities for personalization, content targeting, and user‑level experience variation.
  • Use customer insights, funnel data, and A/B testing to continuously improve engagement, conversion, and experience quality.

Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Brand, Mopar Parts, Dealership, Engineering, ICT, and eCommerce leadership teams.
  • Manage design vendors, 3D visualization partners, and DAM/CDN contributors.
  • Maintain design governance across all Stellantis brand guidelines.
