Job Title: Senior User Experience (UX) Designer – SS&C Chorus
Location: Hybrid – Kansas City, MO
SS&C is a global provider of services and software for the financial services and healthcare industries. With innovation at our core, we’re constantly advancing our platforms to serve clients more efficiently and intelligently. SS&C Chorus is our intelligent automation platform, streamlining complex workflows in financial services to deliver operational excellence.
We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior User Experience Designer to join our product team, focusing on the design and evolution of the SS&C Chorus platform. As a key member of our UX team, you will play a critical role in shaping user-centric digital experiences that simplify and optimize enterprise workflows. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, stakeholders, and end users to craft intuitive, accessible, and scalable designs.
We are a well-respected team with many years of experience across UX and UXR. Our team members can be found across the UK, US, and Europe. We work in a very flexible way to be able to point at priorities as business needs evolve. Strategically led by James Uttley and task led by Ben Kilbee we work in a fast paced, exciting environment both proactively and reactively.
Proactively we are focused on conceptual designs and prototypes which bring to life our future vision for our products (incorporating things such as AI into our products and ways of working). Reactively we respond to both customer feedback and PM direction daily, constantly iterating on our product UX.
You will take an interdisciplinary approach to experience design for the SS&C Chorus platform, integrating tools and methods from the social sciences, interaction and visual design, psychology, business, and engineering. Designs customer-centric solutions that improve how enterprise users engage with Chorus. Solutions may include software interfaces, service design, or workflow optimization recommendations.
You will collaborate within a cross-functional team throughout the full product lifecycle—contributing to user research, insight synthesis, concept development, prototyping, and validation. Works across product, engineering, and client-facing teams to ensure the Chorus experience meets the needs of both users and the business. Partners externally with clients and vendors to understand real-world challenges and inform design strategy.
This is a senior-level role focused on leading moderately complex projects or driving initiatives that require a high level of judgment, creativity, and autonomy. Brings deep expertise to untangle complex enterprise requirements and deliver elegant, scalable user experiences. Actively contributes to the evolution of UX practices within the Chorus product group and recommends improvements to internal design processes.
