Position Overview

Snap Finance is seeking a UX Lead - Seen, who can strengthen our dynamic and talented UX team. As a UX Lead - Seen, you will play a critical role in all phases of the design process. If you are exceptionally influential in leading architectural level design decisions, gifted in visual design and skilled in interactive, user-centered design, we are looking for you! You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UI Engineers, and Subject Matter Experts in other departments to build innovative, intuitive products that our customers love.

  • Design and maintain a living design system and pattern library and work to continually evolve with peers, product, and engineering partners.
  • Take a user-centered design approach building interactive prototypes to get real user feedback from our customer and merchant experiences.
  • Collaborate with Snaps talented and experienced UX Researchers and Designers.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions, and features.
  • Work diligently to partner with and nurture junior designers, product managers, and engineers with the goal of evolving our teams skillsets forward.

What youll need to succeed

  • Bachelors degree in HCI, Visual Design, Industrial Design, or Psychology.
  • Expert in UX software tools such as Figma, InVision, Sketch, is necessary.
  • 10+ years of UI/UX design experience.
  • Fintech experience required.
  • Documented experience in heavy transactional mobile experiences.
  • Extensive experience in leveraging behavioral data to influence the design process.
  • Eats, breathes and sleeps mobile application design.
  • Successful experience driving customer behavior through direct mail and email campaigns.
  • A passion for understanding how people think and work with a relentless thirst to continually evolve and deliver frictionless experiences to users.
  • Outstanding communication skills with regards to presentations, prototypes, in person/online conversations, emails, and conflict resolution.
  • Stellar design chops with a keen sense of typography, interaction design, visual design, color composition, information architecture and motion-based concepts.
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
  • Knowledgeable in Agile methodologies and the product development life cycle.
  • Knowledgeable in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, Angular Universal, Material.io skills are a plus.
  • UX portfolio that shares your exceptional design skills and demonstrates your UX process is required to be considered for this role.
