Manager, UX Design
The Manager, UX Design leads a team of UX designers focused on creating intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences. This role will oversee the development of the user experience for the public-facing website, account opening, and online and mobile banking platforms. Additionally, the Manager, UX Design will help oversee and participate in work to understand our members’ behaviors, shape visual concepts for new and improved digital experiences that meet our business goals, elevate our design quality, and help deepen member relationships.
Additional Job Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of UX designers.
- Define and evolve the digital design strategy in alignment with business goals and member needs.
- Oversee the design and delivery of user-centered experiences across web, mobile, and emerging digital experiences.
- Champion accessibility and inclusive design, ensuring compliance with the latest standards.
- Collaborate closely with other members of the Digital Services team, Marketing, Enterprise Technologies, Compliance, and our vendors to deliver cohesive and compliant digital experiences.
- Support the maintenance of design system and UI component library.
- Conduct and synthesize user research, usability testing, and data-driven insights to inform design decisions.
- Assist with design-related tasks, including prototyping, visual designs, and application mapping.
- Advocate for design thinking and user-centered methodologies across the organization.
- Completes any other job-related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, or comparable experience.
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design.
- 1+ years of experience in a leadership or people management role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in interaction design, visual design, and accessibility.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma).
- Deep understanding of usability testing, responsive design, mobile-first principles, and accessibility standards.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for member-centric design and digital innovation.
- Ability to foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement for the UX team.
