Samsung Design Innovation Center (SDIC), located in San Francisco, is forming a small, nimble team to redefine the future of digital health. Working at the intersection of design, AI, and human experience, this team will explore how agentic and conversational AI can redefine future health and fitness experiences. The team will tackle complex and forward-looking design challenges to spark creativity, optimize concepts, and develop innovative new experiences for the near and mid-term future. We will collaborate closely with global partners to create impactful design directions by combining user insights, data, and advanced design approaches. This is a full-time, one-year contract role with the potential to extend or convert to a full-time position based on impact.
We are looking for talented designers to join our group and bring new energy to our process. You should be ready to help at all stages of product design, from identifying unmet and latent needs, discovering new design opportunities, designing new product concepts to applying technology creatively to solve real user problems and create radically new experiences that re-imagine the way we interact with products.

The studio is working on various advanced product experiences which can shape the future of Samsung Businesses, working with various internal teams through experience-driven approach. Our work appears on smartphones, tablets, computers, televisions, wearables, and other devices we can’t describe yet.
Please note that this is for a 12 month contract, 5 days a week in-person at our office in San Francisco.
The Principal AI Interaction Designer is responsible for creating beautiful, functional and desirable interfaces and experiences with a focus on AI-driven and agentic user experiences for Samsung’s digital health offerings. This is an individual contributor role, where you will lead projects and ensure a high bar for the work. You will need to understand how people use products (e.g. wearables, smartphone), and leading health apps and services to craft the desired user experience, with a focus on AI-rich, conversational, and context-aware interactions.

Hourly Pay Rate Range: $150—$175 USD
