RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a User Experience Designer V to join for an approximate 9-month project!

This position requires 5 days onsite in Bellevue, WA or Nashville, TN.

We are seeking a UX Designer V to lead the design of an innovative AI-powered training application for delivery associate trainees. This role will work with a cross-functional team of product, learning, analytics, and developers to build a platform that will evolve from a classroom tutor into a comprehensive personalized learning system.

The platform generates personalized learning content based on a curriculum backend and standard operating procedures, integrating seamlessly with existing training systems and curriculum. It leverages large language model technology to create adaptive, individualized instruction that adjusts to each trainees pace and comprehension level. The platform features conversational interfaces, adaptive testing regimens, real-time trainer dashboards, and multi-modal content delivery—all designed to significantly improve educational outcomes through personalized 1:1 learning experiences.

As a UX Designer, You Will

  • Lead end-to-end design for complex workflows that directly impact learner experience and training outcomes.
  • Define UX vision and strategy for admin features, collaborating with Product, Devs, SME, and leadership.
  • Think like a product owner, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives to drive strategic decisions.
  • Present and defend design recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal design system stakeholders to effectively leverage component libraries and style guidelines.
  • Create comprehensive design artifacts including service blueprints, process maps, user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Leverage AI tooling to accelerate design exploration, prototyping, and iteration cycles.
  • Conduct usability testing and leverage analytics to inform design decisions.
  • Document design rationale and implementation guidance for cross-functional partners.
  • Champion a user-centered design approach throughout the organization, advocating for customer needs and elevating the overall quality of design.
  • Contribute to design system patterns ensuring consistency across experience.

As an Applicant, You Bring

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process for complex workflows.
  • Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools.
  • Experience with AI tooling for design workflows (generative AI, prototyping automation, design exploration).
  • Experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present to business stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience designing conversational interfaces or AI-powered applications.
  • Knowledge of educational technology, learning platforms, or training systems.
  • Familiarity with adaptive learning systems or personalized content delivery.
  • Experience with dashboard design for monitoring and intervention workflows.
  • Background in designing for operational or logistics environments.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  • Experience with Amazon design systems.

Compensation

Pay Range: $85.00 - $95.00 (Hourly)

The successful candidates pay will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.
