Job Details

Job Location: SEATTLE, WA 98109
Get customers their packages sooner and safer by designing systems for worldwide delivery operations.

RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a User Experience Designer III to join for an approximate 6-month project!

This position requires 5 days onsite in Bellevue, WA.

We are looking for a UX Designer to help define, build, and maintain the products that our businesses use to deliver packages to customers around the world. Many of our projects extend beyond digital interfaces, connecting with real-world physical processes. We design experiences used by multiple internal businesses and product lines that support addresses, geolocation, routing, and deliveries.

As a UX Designer, You Will

  • Support transporters in safely and effectively delivering packages for our customers, providing clarity on where they need to go, what they need to do, and the best way to get there.
  • Drive both big-picture vision and fast-paced execution, delivering near-term results while exploring future opportunities.
  • Work in close collaboration with cartographers, engineers, and product managers to understand user behaviors and needs, creating high-quality experiences that strive to not only meet those needs, but exceed them.
  • Work hands-on in our design and prototyping studio to deeply understanding customer needs and creating experiences that aim to meet them in the moments that matter most.

As an Applicant, You Bring

  • 7+ years of design experience.
  • An online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices.
  • Experience presenting designs and collaborating with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization.
  • Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, or experience with end-to-end project management.
  • Experience in identifying a customer need, building a product to meet that need, and launching that product.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
  • Experience and practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture and designs.
  • Experience in visual design demonstrated through design concepts, case studies, documentation, mockups and style guides.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
  • Experience with driving or wayfinding apps, logistics, or service design.
