RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a User Experience Designer to join for an approximate 8-month project!

This position requires 5 days onsite in Seattle.

Job Description

We are seeking a UX Designer to help shape the end-to-end experience for a complex, data-driven desktop application. This role will partner closely with product, engineering, and research teams to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver intuitive, user-centered designs. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in information architecture and interaction design, paired with the ability to translate complex systems into clear, scalable experiences. This is an opportunity to work on a product in its early stages, influence direction, and contribute to a highly collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

As a UX Designer, You Will

  • Create process flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups to clearly communicate interaction and design intent
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define business and feature requirements using data, research, and usability insights
  • Develop detailed design specifications and validate implemented experiences against design comps
  • Participate in usability testing and analyze performance data to iterate and improve features
  • Present design work to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, incorporating feedback into thoughtful solutions
  • Contribute to and help evolve UI/UX best practices, standards, and design systems
  • Stay informed on industry trends across ecommerce, web applications, and user interface innovation
  • Support end-to-end design thinking, from concept through execution, within an agile environment

Qualifications

As an Applicant, You Bring

  • 3–6 years of experience designing interaction and UX solutions for web or software applications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex design concepts
  • Proven experience creating mockups, wireframes, and process flows
  • Solid understanding of information architecture and user-centered design principles
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, Dreamweaver, or similar
  • Experience leveraging data, research, and usability findings to inform design decisions
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design work and problem-solving approach
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing
  • Prototyping skills, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven design optimization
  • Experience working on complex systems or data-heavy applications

Compensation

Pay Range: $45.00 - $52.80 (Hourly)

The successful candidate’s pay will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.

Benefits: Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
