User Experience Writer — Remote (Canada)

Seeking a skilled UX writing professional to support a major digital transformation in the insurance and retirement sector. This 100% remote opportunity offers full-time hours, the chance to shape new transactional websites, and collaboration across design, CX, and product teams using tools like Figma.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit clear, concise, and user-friendly copy for new digital experiences tailored to advisors, plan sponsors, and participants.
  • Craft UX content for menus, buttons, CTAs, error messages, transactional flows, and notifications.
  • Participate in frequent design, product, and CX meetings to provide content for new screens and refine based on user testing feedback.
  • Integrate copy into the design process from the outset, collaborating with designers and stakeholders to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Ensure all content is accessible, inclusive, and aligns with the established brand voice and tone.
  • Use user research, product metrics, and feedback to inform writing decisions.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects in an Agile environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in writing, UX writing, or human-centered design (HCD).
  • 3–5 years of UX writing experience, with strong knowledge of UX design principles and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to guide users through digital experiences with concise and accurate copy.
  • Experience using UX design tools such as Figma.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Understanding of financial services or retirement plans is a plus.
