Role Location
This role is based at Range's Headquarters in McLean, VA. Employees hired for this position will work in office Monday-Friday. If you are not currently located in one of these areas, your willingness to relocate will be a contingency for employment.
What You'll Do With Us
- Owning end-to-end design process—problem discovery, scoping, map user flows wireframe concepts, and pixel perfect handoffs to product/eng
- You will partner with your pod (product manager/engineers) to scope project work, define design process, and timeline.
- We work in Figma, you’re proficient in Figma or able to learn it rapidly
- Build & testing prototypes
- Managing and overseeing structured design files and work spaces
- Contribute to the design system
What Will Set You Apart
- Can frame strong rationales for design decisions and persuade peers and executives
- Design decisions calibrated by research and data
- Strong collaborator with product managers, engineering teams, and fellow designers
- Communicates concisely with both pixel and words
- Systems thinker: Able to see the big picture, understanding how various elements of a system are interconnected and influence each other
- Demonstrates deep understanding and alignment of business goals, competitive landscape, and user needs
- Proven ability to both work within and enhance design systems
- Demonstrate current knowledge of product design trends and best practices
- Track record of leading projects that have shipped across web and mobile
- Minimum 5 years experience in product design
