"***This posting is for 2 positions within the Global Design function.***\n\n### Senior Designer, NSW Modern Womens Apparel Product Design\n### Senior Designer, NSW Classic & Street Womens Apparel Product Design\n\n### WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH\nCollaboration with design management to actively gain experience, enhance design skills and increase knowledge of Nike's design philosophy, products and processes will be key. You'll also partner with category team members in design, development and merchandising to ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price point, merchandising needs and product creation timelines.\n\n### WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nWe are seeking a passionate Senior Apparel Designer for Women's Sportswear with a fashion-forward aesthetic, bringing Innovation and Style together. A person who is curious and versatile, can collaborate effectively with the triad team to create unique apparel products. \n- Bachelor's degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training. \n- 3+ years of relevant work experience in Fashion Design or related field. \n- Ability to apply and perform design skills such as drawing/sketching, ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing and scale, visual presentation development and layout. \n- Familiarity with current trends, color and design. \n- Basic knowledge of pattern making, draping, materials, trims, garment fit, garment construction, and manufacturing. \n- Basic knowledge of the apparel industry, marketing principles, and development process.\n\n### WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON\n- Create original Apparel product designs that reflect our design philosophy & standards with guidance from senior designers and the Design Director. \n- Proactively implement all apparel product details including construction detail, color, form, style, detail, fit performance, and trims. \n- Partner and clearly communicate with all relevant members within Design, Technical Development and Product Management to ensure feasibility of designs against product creation timelines. \n- Present design concepts to various internal audiences with support from more senior designers. \n- Create presentation materials that effectively communicate the concept behind the seasonal designs to internal audiences. \n- Build awareness of current trends, color, and sports-related products through market research with a clear connection to consumer needs. \n- Provide design support for broader Apparel Design team as needed, outside of assigned projects.\n\nWe offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed.
