Job Summary

Nationwide Marketing Group builds, hosts, and manages e-commerce websites for more than 2,000 retailers nationwide. We are seeking a talented Web Designer to join our team and create visually compelling, high-performing digital experiences that help our members succeed.

The Web Designer blends a passion for clean code, strong visual design, and modern web technologies to build and maintain e-commerce websites on our proprietary platform, OneShop. This role partners closely with clients and internal teams to deliver websites that are visually engaging, highly functional, and aligned with current web standards and best practices.

Candidates will be required to provide a portfolio website or recent examples of relevant work that demonstrate both design and development capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop visually compelling e-commerce websites using HTML and CSS
  • Build and maintain websites within our OneShop platform
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into effective digital solutions
  • Ensure all websites are responsive, user-friendly, and aligned with brand standards
  • Create supporting graphic assets for web (banners, promotions, landing pages, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, ensuring optimal performance and usability
  • Continuously stay current with design trends, tools, and emerging web technologies

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in hand-coding HTML and CSS (vanilla)
  • Solid foundation in visual and graphic design principles
  • Experience building responsive, mobile-friendly websites
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop (Illustrator a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, maintainable code
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript or jQuery
  • Familiarity with SEO and web accessibility best practices

Work Environment

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of the workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds. General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
