The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) is looking for a Web Designer to join our Denver/hybrid team. The Web Designer is responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites, web pages, and digital interfaces. This role will collaborate with developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure design consistency, excellent user experience, conversion optimization, and bring concepts to life.

Requirements

Essential Functions

  • Design and implement website layouts, user interfaces, and graphics that align with brand identity.
  • Build conversion optimized landing pages.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for websites and web applications.
  • Construct webpages in both a structured (headless architecture) and unstructured (visual builder) platforms.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and content creators to ensure seamless execution.
  • Optimize designs for performance, usability, accessibility, and responsive behavior.
  • Maintain and update existing websites to enhance user experience.
  • Stay updated on web design trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of MGMA’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of the organization.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of MGMA’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics.
  • Strong understanding of branding and design principles with a particular 'eye' for design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma, or Sketch.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript (bonus if proficient).
  • Knowledge of responsive design principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Contentful, Sitecore, Shopify, etc).
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and typography.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in web design, graphic design, computer science, or related field is preferred.

Experience

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in web design.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in UX/UI design is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

This is a largely sedentary role, so employee must be able to remain in a sedentary position while focusing for extended periods of time throughout the workday. Position also requires occasional movement inside the office to access file cabinets, printers, etc. While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to successfully navigate scenarios requiring the following operational abilities:

  • Ability to operate PC/keyboard and other office productivity equipment
  • Ability to position self to traverse/navigate around typical office setting
  • Ability to pull/push, lift, open/close, grasp/manipulate, transport up to 10 lbs.

The approximate salary range for this position is $65,000 - $84,000, depending on the skills, education, and experience of the candidate.
