Sr. UX Designer II (6433)

Job Summary

As Sr. UX Designer II, youll lead a small team to apply user-centered design principles to develop the core UI, improve workflow, expand functionality, and enhance the visual appeal of the data brokerage solution. Youll gather requirements from users and stakeholders, define information architecture, develop personas and user workflows, and create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. Youll incorporate insights from user research and usability testing to refine and enhance features, leveraging visual design expertise and relevant design and prototyping tools. Youll collaborate with the software development and data engineering teams to deliver a product that creates a strong positive user experience. Youll help create material (decks, graphics, etc.) to drive external marketing of the program to improve adoption across the community.

Responsibilities

What youll do:

  • Serve as the UI/UX Design Lead for a large IT/data modernization program.
  • Lead user research and development of front-end UI for new data brokerage solution.
  • Develop externally facing marketing materials for the program to help communicate the value and drive adoption of the solution.
  • Work with an open and motivated team creating digital experiences that solve Client missions.
  • Own the Interface and Interaction Design.
  • Take part in the Agile process; grooming different solutions to challenges.
  • Be responsible for leading user experience strategy, improvement assessments, information architecture, wireframes, and user research activities.

Requirements

What youll need to succeed:

  • 7+ years of experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, conceptualization and visual design abilities.
  • Exceptional design skills, production value and attention to detail.
  • The ability to create wireframes as well as visual design comps.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry standard design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, etc.).
  • An understanding of common software development, data engineering, and agile development practices.
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Ability to obtain high level security clearance.

Salary Information

SALARY RANGE: $128,000 - $165,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

  • The candidates professional background and relevant work experience.
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs.
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation.

This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:

  • Performance-based bonuses.
  • Company-paid training and/or certifications.
  • Referral bonuses.
