The LSEG Design UX Team

The LSEG Design UX team is seeking a talented, user obsessed, visually inspired, Experience Design Principal to lead and govern the UX of simply beautiful customer journeys and UX experiences for our customers. Want to lead, give, and learn from a diverse, creative, passionate, multi-disciplinary team of Service Designers, UX designers, visual designers, and front-end developers? Lead for Marketing Sites UX

Imagine being the Lead for our Marketing sites UX and owning the Governance and Figma of our Forge design system that supports LSEG experiences across multiple sites. Youll be fundamental in leading and delivering strategic, LSEG-wide customer experience initiatives. Youll work collaboratively with the team to craft concepts, components, patterns, and journeys and deliver responsive design experiences for LSEGs digital ecosystem.

Involving the End User

Involving the end user in your designs and liaising directly with product owners, technical architects, and technology partners, we also like to mix quantitative analysis into the qualitative feedback loop. Taking ownership to drive consistency of UX while being inspired by our strong Brand architecture, you will manage the expertise of our dedicated Experience Fundamentals team and use and manage our Design System to accelerate you in our agile working practices.

Desired Skills and Attributes

This role should attract a highly creative teammate at pace with the latest service design and interaction design trends as well as a deep knowledge of user experience principles. Leading by example, imagine delivering conceptual designs, customer journey maps, heuristic analysis, and hands-on delivery out to customers, and caring and defending your vision and design decisions against the balance of user needs, Brand experience, technical constraints, and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver holistic, innovative, end-to-end service user experiences across LSEGs digital experience.
  • Inspire and provide creative designs that are beautiful, clear, useful, easy-to-use, innovative, and efficiently built.
  • Deliver the design experience from sprint horizon concepts to prototypes and final wireframes.
  • Take responsibility for communicating designs to collaborators and incorporating and balancing conflicting feedback back into designs.
  • Organise and run customer journey workshops and deliver service maps, customer journeys, design concepts, layouts, and screens from the output.
  • Develop high-quality visual and interactive proof of concepts to share with internal and external customers.
  • Advocate for customer-centred, context-aware, responsive web design and platform-specific design as key to LSEGs competitive advantage.
  • Support the team in the creation and execution of UX workshops in support of other organisational teams.
  • Develop, manage, and govern our Forge UX Design system through the team reporting to you.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to changing priorities driven by the speed of our innovative, fast-paced, information services industry.

Qualifications

  • Motivated, curious, creative self-starter with a strong collaborative nature.
  • Happy defending concepts and negotiating successful compromises between multiple project collaborators.
  • Detailed knowledge of user-centred design principles.
  • Adore a proper design system to deliver UX at speed.
  • Expertise delivering service design customer journeys, wireframes, prototypes, detailed design screens from mobile to desktop.
  • Skills in blending qualitative and quantitative data into designs.
  • Flamboyance (or even just quiet confidence) in Figma.
  • Ability to work with development teams to find a way within technology constraints.
  • Clear verbal and written communication to do justice to your ideas.
  • Leadership flair with designers to get the best out of their talent.
  • Bachelors degree in Service design, Interaction Design, Information Design, Product Design or equivalent professional experience.
