Position Summary/ Job Purpose

We are seeking a creative, analytical, and user-focused Website UX Designer & Merchandiser to join our digital team. This hybrid role blends user experience design, site merchandising, and data-driven optimization to ensure our online experience is intuitive, engaging, and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate understands how design, content, and product presentation come together to drive conversions and deliver an exceptional customer journey.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

User Experience (UX) Design

  • Design intuitive, user-centered interfaces for web and mobile experiences.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and interaction guidelines.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B experiments to validate design decisions.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs.
  • Maintain and evolve the digital design system to ensure brand consistency.

Website Merchandising

  • Own site merchandising strategy, including categorization, sorting rules, product placement, and promotional layouts.
  • Curate and optimize the product assortment and on-site visual presentation to maximize discoverability and sales.
  • Develop homepage updates, landing pages, and promotional banners to support campaigns and launches.
  • Monitor product performance and make data-driven recommendations to improve conversion.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to ensure alignment across channels.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Analyze user behavior, funnel performance, click-through data, and navigation patterns.
  • Identify opportunities for UX enhancements and merchandising improvements.
  • Use heatmaps, analytics tools, and user feedback to continuously refine the experience.
  • Track KPIs such as conversion rate, bounce rate, CTR, and product engagement.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Digital Merchandising, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in UX design, e-commerce merchandising, or a similar hybrid role.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Experience with CMS or e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, usability best practices, and responsive design.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using Google Analytics, Hotjar, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to balance creativity with business strategy and technical constraints.

Job Specific Skills

  • Experience in retail, consumer products, or e-commerce.
  • Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS for communicating with developers.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and digital marketing.
  • Ability to quickly iterate and manage multiple projects on tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Content stack, GA4, Microsoft among other Web platforms.
