This role will shape the future of user engagement for healthcare providers, individuals managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and internal teams supporting our award-winning Omnipod® platform and emerging drug delivery solutions.
As a key member of the UX leadership team, you will define and execute long-range strategies, champion user-centric design, and ensure regulatory alignment across global initiatives pertaining to E2E. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, marketing, product management, and engineering to translate deep user insights into differentiated, scalable experiences that deliver measurable business impact.
Enterprise UX Strategy:
Lead the development and execution of a multi-year UX strategy that aligns with Insulet’s business objectives, user needs, and innovation roadmap.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Partner with franchise leadership, marketing, product, and engineering to embed UX into strategic planning and product development lifecycles. Create and weave customer-centric frameworks and mindsets into the operating mechanisms across those organizations.
Global Experience Design:
Create world-class experiences across platforms and geographies through scalable design systems, inclusive design practices, and robust research methodologies. Establish a unified design language that supports consistency and adaptability across digital touchpoints and regional markets and ladders seamlessly to brand.
Performance & Impact:
Define and monitor UX Objectives and Key Results and Key Performance Indicators to measure user experience and satisfaction, the connection between UX and business outcomes, and operational efficiency. Establish a comprehensive UX measurement framework that links design outcomes to business metrics such as customer retention, NPS, onboarding success, and support resolution rates. Implement real-time analytics and feedback loops to continuously assess user behavior, sentiment, and engagement across digital and service touchpoints.
Executive Influence:
Represent UX at the senior leadership level, reconciling stakeholder priorities and advocating for end-to-end experience excellence. Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders across marketing, product, engineering, and clinical teams to ensure UX is embedded in strategic decision-making. Translating user insights into compelling business narratives that drive alignment and investment in experience-led initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development:
Mentor and grow a high-performing team of UX leaders and practitioners, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning. Establish a clear vision and direction for the UX Center of Excellence, aligning team goals with enterprise strategy and user needs. Implement structured career development plans, including coaching, training, and stretch assignments to build leadership and domain expertise.
Governance & Compliance:
Ensure all UX initiatives meet regulatory requirements and internal governance standards, particularly within healthcare and medical device contexts. Embed compliance into the design lifecycle, partnering with Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and Quality teams to proactively address requirements such as FDA, ISO, and GDPR. Establish UX governance frameworks that define roles, responsibilities, and checkpoints for design validation, documentation, and audit readiness.
Hybrid role based in San Diego, CA or Acton, MA, with up to 3 days/week in-office presence.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $236,175.00 - $354,262.50. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
