Minimum qualifications:

  • 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

As an Interaction Designer, youll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

As an XR designer, you will lead critical apps design projects to ensure high quality experiences for XR users and developers. You will be responsible for defining the UX foundations for apps for existing and next-generation XR devices. This role requires a motivated individual contributor who is enthusiastic about 0->1 products, capable of navigating ambiguity, and passionate about establishing industry-leading designs, patterns and frameworks for AI wearables. Googles XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap – the convergence of AI and XR. This is more than just new devices – its about reimagining how we interact with the world around us. Were building a future where lightweight XR devices like smart glasses and headsets pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
  • Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high fidelity prototypes.
  • Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
  • Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
