(Senior) Product Designer
About This Role
You'll join our Product Design team at a pivotal moment as we evolve from ad-hoc execution to strategic partnership across GLS/NXT. Working in our compact, high-impact design team, you'll own the end-to-end consumer experience for logistics operations that move millions of packages across Europe daily. This role demands someone who thrives in complexity, translating intricate routing algorithms, real-time tracking systems, and multi-stakeholder workflows into intuitive mobile experiences that drivers, dispatchers, and customers rely on every day.
We're open to both mid-level and senior candidates for this position.
The final level and compensation will be determined during the interview process based on your experience, portfolio depth, and demonstrated skills. We’re more interested in finding the right person who can grow with us than fitting a predetermined seniority box.
Tasks
- Lead end-to-end design for web & mobile products from problem framing through post-launch iteration, owning the complete user experience across all platforms.
- Create flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes and high‑fidelity visuals that set the quality bar for the engineering team.
- Collaborate with product managers to shape feature roadmaps, using research insights and data to influence prioritization and scope decisions.
- Partner closely with mobile engineers throughout implementation, participating in technical discussions, providing assets and specifications, and ensuring quality through design QA.
- Contribute to our multi-platform design system, building native mobile components that scale across B2B and B2C applications while respecting iOS and Android platform conventions.
- Present design work and rationale to stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, and leadership, building alignment through clear communication and storytelling.
- Analyze usability and behavioral metrics to identify improvement opportunities and measure the impact of design changes on efficiency and user satisfaction.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing complex applications with demonstrated expertise in shipping native iOS and Android products at scale.
- Strong research skills including user interviews, field studies, usability testing, and synthesis of insights into actionable design decisions.
- Track record of close collaboration with engineering teams, comfortable discussing technical tradeoffs and finding creative solutions within platform limitations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting design decisions, facilitating workshops, and presenting to diverse audiences.
- Excellence in Figma for design systems, collaborative workflows, and component architecture; ability to create prototypes that communicate interactions, transitions, and motion.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously on ambiguous problems while actively seeking feedback and iteration opportunities.
