About the Role

Norton Neo is Gen’s AI-native browser, built to rethink how people experience the web in an age of information overload. Neo goes beyond traditional browsing by proactively organizing, summarizing, and surfacing what matters—turning the browser into a smart, trusted assistant rather than a passive tool. Designed with privacy and security by default, Neo reflects Gen’s commitment to helping Generation Digital navigate the internet more clearly, efficiently, and safely.

As part of Gen’s broader mission to enable Digital Freedom, Neo represents our next chapter: using AI to reduce cognitive load, amplify human intent, and make the internet work better for people. In this role, you will partner closely with product and engineering leaders across the AI & Innovation organization to define and scale world-class browser experiences used by millions globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and scale end-to-end user experiences across a growing portfolio of six product pillars spanning four major cybersecurity brands—Norton, Avast, AVG, and Avira—impacting millions of users worldwide.
  • Architect and evolve a unified, AI-ready Design System that underpins our entire browser ecosystem, replacing fragmented experiences with a cohesive, high-trust visual and interaction language.
  • Lead high-impact design initiatives across cross-brand consolidation, AI-powered browser experiences, password management integration, Gen‑AI anti-scam interfaces, and browser extension innovation.
  • Design scalable frameworks for enterprise partnerships and white‑label solutions, enabling fast, high‑quality deployment across diverse partner and platform ecosystems.
  • Leverage AI-driven design and automation tools to eliminate low‑value, repetitive work and multiply design impact across multiple brands and products.
  • Act as a force multiplier for a small, senior design team by setting direction, raising craft quality, and enabling faster, more confident execution.
  • Drive end‑to‑end design from discovery and prototyping through implementation, partnering closely with product and engineering leaders across the AI & Innovation organization.
  • Lead user research and data‑informed experimentation to validate design decisions, optimize engagement, and inform long‑term product strategy.
  • Establish durable design patterns, component libraries, and workflows that allow the organization to scale with consistency, speed, and trust.

About You

Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in user experience, product design, or a related design discipline, with demonstrated ownership over complex product surfaces.
  • Proven experience owning or co‑owning a design system used across multiple products, brands, or platforms.
  • Strong product judgment, with the ability to independently identify high‑leverage opportunities and influence roadmaps and technical decisions through design.
  • Experience conducting or partnering on lightweight, high‑signal research and using data and experimentation to validate design decisions.

Skills & Craft

  • Exceptional design craft, with a portfolio that demonstrates strength in visual interface design and the ability to scale visual and motion systems across platforms.
  • Deep fluency in design best practices, paired with the judgment to know when to follow them—and when to evolve them.
  • Comfort working closely with engineering, balancing design ambition with implementation cost, performance, and long‑term maintainability.

Bonus

  • Experience designing AI‑powered features or systems.
  • Experience working within multi‑brand or platform‑scale environments.
  • Experience launching products from 0 → 1.
