Senior Product Designer

About This Role

Document Crunch is searching for a Senior Product Designer to shape the next generation of our AI-driven platform for the construction industry. You’ll lead design initiatives that blend human-centered design, accessibility, and AI innovation to deliver high-quality, responsive product experiences across devices. This is an opportunity to push the boundaries of AI-powered design, working at the intersection of creativity and technology to redefine how construction professionals interact with data and insights. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to create thoughtful, intuitive experiences that drive measurable business impact. The core mission of this role is to elevate user experience through design excellence and intelligent automation—ensuring every interaction is efficient, inclusive, and delightful.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Product Designer is a critical role in our organization. The key responsibilities are:

Product Design & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end design solutions, from research and concept through to delivery and refinement.
  • Create fully responsive, high-fidelity designs for web and mobile that align with our brand and accessibility standards.
  • Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, enabling inclusive experiences for all users.
  • Leverage AI-powered design and prototyping tools to enhance creativity and streamline workflows (Figma, Lovable, Fullstory, etc.).
  • Conduct usability testing to validate design decisions and continuously improve user flows.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to bring innovative features to market.
  • Communicate design decisions clearly, advocating for user needs and aligning stakeholders around shared goals.
  • Contribute to design system evolution, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform.

User Experience & Research

  • Champion user empathy, ensuring the voice of the customer is reflected throughout the design process.
  • Synthesize insights from usability tests, analytics, and customer feedback to drive product improvements.
  • Stay ahead of emerging design and AI trends, proactively introducing new tools and methods to the team.

Success in this role means delivering elegant, accessible, and data-informed designs that meaningfully improve user satisfaction and product adoption.

Skill Set

These are the primary skills we’re looking for to drive success in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related field
  • 5+ years of product design experience, ideally within SaaS or B2B environments
  • A portfolio showcasing responsive, high-fidelity product design work with measurable impact
  • Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows
  • Strong grasp of user-centered design principles and usability testing methodologies
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Passion for AI, emerging technologies, and continuous innovation in design
  • Experience with systems design
