Senior UX Engineer

What Youll Do as a Senior UX Engineer

This role is a unique opportunity for a "builder" at a genuine inflection point. As a Senior Individual Contributor at a Series B scale-up, you will bridge the gap between design intent and technical implementation, using AI to accelerate workflows across our patient app, clinician portal, and voice systems. You will have a massive impact on hundreds of thousands of patients by creating consistent, accessible, and iterative solutions alongside our product and clinical teams.

Champion Patients

  • Inclusivity First: Design reassuring, accessible experiences for older or impaired patients managing complex conditions across their entire journey, from screens to physical manuals.

Design and Build

  • Hybrid Implementation: Own the full lifecycle by designing in Figma and self-implementing high-quality, clean code in React and TypeScript.

Make our Product Safe

  • Regulatory Rigor: Validate safety through structured usability testing and document design rationale to meet medical device regulatory standards.

AI Fluency

  • Efficient Output: Leverage AI tools to automate workflows and accelerate production while maintaining clinical safety and precision.

What Were Looking For

  • Strong design and UX skills in visual design, interaction design, service design thinking across complex multi-step journeys
  • A portfolio of shipped work, with clear evidence of the problem, your process, and the outcome
  • Front-end engineering skills you write production-quality code (React, React Native, TypeScript, CSS), not just prototypes
  • Ability to plan and run usability tests and translate findings into concrete decisions
  • Comfort designing for diverse users, including older users, lower digital literacy, and accessibility requirements
  • Fluency with AI tools in your daily workflow
  • Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, finance, govtech) is a significant plus, not essential if you bring the right attitude

Were a hybrid team, with offices in London, Denmark, and Germany. Most of our team is London-based and enjoys in-person time at our WeWork HQ 1–3 days per week, where youll find great lunch, barista coffee, and a pet-friendly space. Some of our teams are fully remote, depending on the team and responsibilities. This includes our Engineering, Clinical & Patient Support teams.
