About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead design for Depop’s Android app, creating best-in-class experiences for our buyers and sellers. You’ll own design across Android touch points – from browsing and discovery to selling and account management – ensuring our app feels intuitive, accessible, and distinctly “Depop” on Android. As part of a cross-functional squad, you’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to design experiences that balance user needs with Depop’s goals, while staying true to Android’s design language.
This is a great role for a designer who thrives on mobile-first product challenges, understands the nuances of Android patterns and ecosystems, and wants to have a broad impact across both buyer and seller journeys.
What You’ll Do
- Execution & Impact: Lead end-to-end design for the Android app – exploring, prototyping, and delivering solutions from concepts to polished UI.
- Project Management: Balance multiple projects, ensuring strong execution while tying your work to broader product strategy.
- Collaboration & Influence: Partner with product, engineering, and research to shape priorities, align stakeholders, and drive a clear vision for Android experiences.
- User & Business Focus: Champion seller needs while balancing Depop’s goals — using data and market insight to identify opportunities, test solutions, and deliver impact.
- Leadership & Growth: Share knowledge of mobile best practices, mentor peers, and contribute to a positive, collaborative design culture.
- Craft Expertise: Apply strong craft and a deep understanding of Android design patterns, raising the quality and consistency of Depop’s mobile experience.
About You
- Strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX and UI design across mobile, with significant Android work.
- Experience leading end-to-end product design processes, from research synthesis to prototyping and delivery.
- Skilled in Figma and proficient with prototyping tools.
- Strong understanding of Android UI patterns, Material Design, and platform-specific nuances.
- Ability to translate research and insights into clear, compelling design decisions.
- Confident in presenting work and influencing stakeholders with compelling but structured, evidence-based arguments.
- (Nice to have) Experience designing for both Android and iOS, with a strong grasp of cross-platform consistency.
- (Nice to have) Familiarity with e-commerce or marketplace products.
