In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
By creating and maintaining high-quality drawings and CAD models that clearly communicate engineering intent, reduce ambiguity, and support successful manufacturing and assembly.
By applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles that ensure parts fit, function, and perform as intended across production variation.
By using CAD data management and configuration control processes to ensure the correct revisions, models, and documentation are available to stakeholders at all times.
By ensuring all specifications adhere to Cummins standards as well as applicable industry, national, and international requirements, reducing risk and supporting global product development.
By processing engineering work requests accurately and promptly, helping teams move projects forward while minimizing delays and rework.
By working closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other functional teams to resolve design issues, align requirements, and support program objectives.
Through active participation in Drawing Quality Reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement and preventing downstream manufacturing or service issues.
By helping maintain and refine design standards, best practices, and quality processes, creating long-term value through increased consistency, productivity, and engineering excellence.
