Crossroads Church is a growing multi-site, interdenominational church. Our sites are currently located in Ohio and Kentucky, with plans to expand to additional cities. We also have an online presence that serves thousands of people who arent located near one of our physical sites. We believe the story of Jesus redemption is the greatest story ever told, and thats why we embrace creativity, adventure, authenticity, and tenacity to share this story with the world. Our desire is to model our staff and church community after the church in Revelation, where people of all nations, tribes, and tongues are worshiping and working together. Were not there yet, but its what were working toward with every hire and every person who walks through our doors.
Job Summary
Crossroads Church is seeking a talented web designer whos fluent in both pixels and code and aligns with our mission, to connect seekers to a community of growing Christ-followers who are changing the world. This designer will interact with the Digital Products Team, as well as other ministries, to create/edit/maintain web experiences for a variety of events, initiatives, and more.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and design web pages/experiences, digital assets, & products for Crossroads.
- Utilize our current brand standards and develop new ones.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and leaders.
- Distill complex messaging into a singular web page experience.
- Push the team into the future by leveraging technology and communication trends.
Education Requirements
Degree in Graphic Design/Digital Design or Equivalent Job Experience
Experience/Skills Requirements
- 2+ years of work experience in digital design.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
- Experience with the following programs:
- HTML
- CSS
- Basic Javascript
- NextJS
- Bootstrap
- GitHub
- Figma / Sketch / XD (or alike)
- Photoshop / Illustrator
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit in a chair and operate a computer for 2 hours at a time, for a full work day.
Schedule/Travel Requirements
- Typically Monday through Friday work schedule, minimum of 4 days in the office
- Available for special projects and all-hands-on-deck events (Holy Week/Easter, Super Bowl, Christmas, others as needed), participate in all-staff meetings, day of solitude, offsites, etc.
- Minimal travel
