What Makes This Role Exciting

Were looking for a talented, motivated, and impact-driven Product Designer to join our growing Product Design team. In this role, youll own the end-to-end design of complex product experiences across CloudPays global payroll and payments platform. Youll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and business stakeholders to create intuitive, user-centred solutions that solve real customer problems and deliver measurable business value. Main responsibilities

  1. Product Design Execution
    • Lead end-to-end design for complex product features, from discovery through to delivery, producing high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and final UI.
    • Translate ambiguous problems into clear, well-reasoned design solutions with strong rationale.
  2. User Research & Insight
    • Plan and conduct user research, usability testing, and discovery sessions to validate assumptions and inform design decisions.
    • Synthesise qualitative and quantitative data to surface patterns, gaps, and opportunities.
    • Advocate for the user throughout the product development process.
  3. Design Systems & Standards
    • Contribute to the evolution and adoption of CloudPays design system, ensuring consistency across the platform.
    • Champion accessibility standards and best practices across all design output.
    • Maintain and document shared design patterns and components.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner closely with product managers and engineers throughout the product lifecycle, from scoping and ideation to build and launch.
    • Present and communicate design decisions clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Experience needed for this role

  • Solid experience in product design or UI/UX.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Portfolio showing end-to-end product design work with clear evidence of product thinking, design quality, and measurable impact.
  • Familiarity with API-first or integration-heavy platforms and AI-powered product experiences is a plus.
  • Background in HR tech or global payroll is advantageous but not required.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Figma and working knowledge of AI tools to accelerate and sharpen the design process.
  • Solid understanding of design systems, component libraries, and design tokens.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Data-driven mindset, comfortable using usage data and product metrics to inform and validate design decisions.
