Product Designer

As a Product Designer, you’ll be part of our Product & Engineering team, helping shape the Booking Experts platform. Working alongside specialists in Engineering and Product Management, you’ll be involved throughout the entire process. From discovery to delivery.

What will you be doing?

You’ll design with full focus on the leisure industry: from holiday parks to hotels. By exploring the needs of end users, from park managers to marketing professionals, you’ll gain insight into their workflows, identify pain points, and create intuitive solutions. You’ll automate complex challenges without compromising on top-tier design.

At Booking Experts, you’ll work with our in-house Design System: designing interfaces, expanding the system, and actively seeking opportunities to improve automation and user experience. You’ll analyse new features, collaborate closely with the frontend team, and enjoy a high degree of creative freedom.

You’ll stay on top of industry trends, collaborate across disciplines, and present your ideas with confidence.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Automating processes through strong, user-centred design;
  • Defining design requirements based on domain knowledge and research;
  • Identifying opportunities to improve automation across the platform;
  • Analysing the impact of releases on user experience;
  • Staying up to date within your field of expertise.

Team Product is a place of freedom, technical expertise, vision, growth, and calm, with a healthy dose of fun. Every day, our experienced engineers work on a scalable, sophisticated booking platform for holiday parks. Within the team, you’ll find specialisms ranging from backend and frontend to full stack and DevOps.

With the BEX App Store, recreation businesses can further expand BEX PMS and tailor it to their needs in terms of process automation and optimisation. This results in more direct bookings and increased guest satisfaction. In this way, we comprehensively support holiday parks with automation, digitalisation, and smart integrations.

We develop a range of powerful features, such as:

  • BEX PMS: For managing all back-office operations.
  • Search and book: For stimulating direct bookings via the park’s own website.
  • BEX CMS: For building user-friendly websites that are seamlessly integrated with BEX PMS.
  • Business Intelligence: Advanced dashboards for making data-driven decisions.
  • BEX App Store: Integrations with external systems, such as: access control systems, channel managers, marketing tools, and more.

What do you bring?

At Booking Experts, we believe it’s essential that, as a Product Designer, you have a genuine passion for design and a constant drive to improve, both your craft and yourself. You’re not satisfied with the status quo and are always seeking new challenges. You focus on asking the right questions, rather than offering easy answers or quick fixes.

You have proven experience across all stages of the design process, including user research, copywriting, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and interaction design. Empathy is key. You’re able to put yourself in the shoes of the end user. You’re familiar with working with Design Systems and have a sharp eye for detail. And importantly, you’re comfortable making design decisions even in the absence of user testing.

You have:

  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree level of education or equivalent experience;
  • Strong command of the English language;
  • At least two years of experience as a Product Designer in a similar role;
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite;
  • A high level of empathy. You can truly understand the end user’s perspective;
  • A creative and solution-oriented mindset.
