Position Overview

As a UX Designer at AIR MILES, you’ll play a key role in crafting intuitive, engaging experiences that help millions of Canadians get the most out of their rewards. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life from early exploration to hi-fidelity designs and prototypes. Within your product area, you’ll lead design execution, contribute to product thinking, and ensure that every interaction feels purposeful and user-centered.

You’re someone who brings both creativity and critical thinking to the table. You know how to turn insights into elegant solutions, and you care deeply about the details that make a good experience great. This role is perfect for a designer who’s confident in their craft, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to make a real impact on a product used by millions.

Responsibilities

  • Design Execution: Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that are thoughtful, accessible, and visually polished.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers to shape solutions that balance user needs and business goals.
  • User-Centered Thinking: Use research insights, data, and empathy to inform your design decisions and advocate for the best possible user experience.
  • Iteration & Feedback: Participate in design critiques, share your work early and often, and iterate based on feedback from peers and stakeholders.
  • Design System Contribution: Leverage and contribute to our design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across our digital products.
  • Craft & Curiosity: Stay up to date with UX trends, tools, and best practices bringing that curiosity into your day-to-day work.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in UX or product design, with a portfolio that shows strong design thinking, attention to detail, and a user-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in Figma and experience designing for responsive web and app.
  • A solid understanding of user research and usability testing, and the ability to apply insights to your design work.
  • Strong visual and interaction design skills, with a passion for creating clean, intuitive, and accessible experiences.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills - you’re comfortable sharing your ideas, giving and receiving feedback, and working with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, curious mindset and a desire to keep growing your skills and contributing to a strong design culture.
