Job Description

UX Designer
Sentric Music Publishing are looking for a UX Designer to join our growing team to help us ensure we’re creating products that people love to use. The UX Designer will be responsible for designing solutions that support Sentric’s mission of delivering publishing tools that simplify the publishing process for creators, artists, and administrators. You will work in collaboration with the Head of Product and our team of Product Managers to develop tools and products that support a broad range of services including client onboarding, work registrations, royalties, sync, and more.

This is a mid-level position and as such we’re seeking people with strong alignment to the desirable attributes listed and a portfolio to demonstrate the key skills needed to be effective.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Strategy: Establish, define, and be accountable for an overall design strategy for our products
  • Wireframing & Prototyping: Use modern tools (Figma, Vercel) to create functional prototypes for stakeholders and clients to assess in support of product discovery. Familiarity with Agentic AI is a plus.
  • Usability Testing: Evaluate and identify usability issues, gather client and stakeholder feedback, and iterate on feature sets.
  • Persona & Journey Mapping: Create and maintain detailed user personas that represent the broad range of clients we work with and user journey maps that outline their experiences.
  • Information Architecture: Design the structure of our products, including site maps and user flows, to ensure user-friendly navigation.
  • User Research: Conduct client interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points. Music industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Key Skills:

  • Visual design: Understanding typography, colour theory, and layout to create visually appealing interface
  • Collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional teams, such as developers and product managers.
  • Problem-solving: Using a logical and creative approach to address user pain points and business goals.
  • Flexibility and adaptability: Being open to change and new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in similar roles
