About the Role

This is a high-ownership role for a founding designer who wants to move fast and solve real customer problems inside one of the worlds largest, most complex industries - logistics. At Axe, design is not about polishing mockups. You will own the full end-to-end design process. Youll be our first full-time designer and will take ownership of UX and UI across the entire product surface — from voice interfaces to AI-driven workflows to dense operational dashboards. The problems are messy. The stakes are real. The impact is massive. Youll be creating the design foundations that will scale with us as we build a category-defining company.

What You Will Do

  • Work directly with customers to understand their workflows and design solutions that meaningfully improve speed, accuracy, and daily operations.
  • Own the design process end-to-end for new features — from discovery to high-fidelity prototypes to production.
  • Identify new AI product opportunities, explore concepts, and build prototypes alongside customers and our engineering team.
  • Invent intuitive interfaces for an AI-first world where traditional UI patterns dont apply — including conversational, voice, and autonomous-agent UX.
  • Collaborate deeply with engineering to ship high-quality features quickly, with tight feedback loops and a bias for action.

Your Profile

  • Experience designing UX and UI for software products, ideally in early-stage startups or B2B SaaS environments.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional interaction design, visual design, and design system skills.
  • You go beyond static screens — you build interactive prototypes using tools like v0, Lovable, Cursor, or advanced Figma prototyping.
  • You enjoy talking to customers, uncovering pain points, and driving the full design lifecycle independently.
  • You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and learn quickly from real-world feedback.
  • You care about real craftsmanship: polished interfaces, clean interactions, and production-quality output.
  • You have a strong interest in AI, LLMs, and voice UX — and youre excited about designing workflows that integrate deeply with autonomous agents.
