Your Future Team
Bitbucket is looking for a senior product designer to work with design, product management and engineering to design and build new functionality envision an AI-native software development life-cycle (SDLC) in Bitbucket. The ideal candidate will have experience designing tools for developers and/or across the SDLC, as well as experience designing AI-powered features or products.
Responsibilities
What youll do
- Design experiences used by millions of software developers globally
- Lead high-impact product design projects that improve the experience of a complex and technical product
- Collaborate with a range of cross-functional teammates, including engineers, product managers, and fellow designers
- Conduct user research using a wide range of methods to build customer understanding
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product design
- Experience in system design, interaction design, prototyping, with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences
- Experience in conducting and analyzing user research
- Experience collaborating with a diverse, global team. Huge plus if youve worked with distant teammates and understand the communication patterns of working with highly distributed teams.
- Excited by the complexity of the developer tools space and solving complex real-world problems. Ideally, youve got some technical chops: you understand your way around code, even if just at a basic level.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners to build alignment and ship quality experiences
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidates skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
- Zone A: $161,100 - $210,325
- Zone B: $145,800 - $190,350
- Zone C: $134,100 - $175,075
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
