Job Description

As the Associate Vice President of Customer Experience & Product Design, you will play a critical role in advancing AT&T’s product design and customer experience initiatives. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead a dynamic team focused on delivering intuitive, seamless, and impactful customer interactions. This role combines strategic insight with hands-on operational leadership to support customer-centric innovation and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing a customer-centric vision for product design and customer experience aligned with business objectives and market trends.
  • Promote a culture centered on outstanding customer experiences through data-driven insights, market segmentation, and customer research.
  • Support journey orchestration efforts to ensure consistent and engaging experiences across digital and omni-channel platforms.
  • Lead design operations to empower the team with tools, resources, and methodologies that drive efficiency and design excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, marketing, and external partners to deliver cohesive user-focused solutions.
  • Drive innovation by fostering ideation, rapid prototyping, and experimentation within the design team.
  • Contribute to talent development by mentoring team members and encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
  • Manage relationships with third-party design vendors and oversee deliverables to ensure alignment with AT&T’s standards.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in customer experience, product design, or UX leadership roles, with demonstrated success managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong background in design strategy, operations, and customer journey mapping.
  • Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma) and methodologies such as design sprints, user-centered design, and agile development.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to align design efforts with business goals.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Innovation, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
