About the Role
As Ascertain grows, the quality of our product experience will directly shape how quickly healthcare organizations can adopt and trust AI-driven automation. This role exists to ensure our products are intuitive, reliable, and deeply aligned with the real workflows of care teams.
The Product Designer will partner closely with product, engineering, and leadership to design thoughtful, high-impact experiences across our platform. You will translate complex operational workflows into clear product interfaces and help define how users interact with Ascertain’s AI agents. You will be responsible for shaping product experiences from concept to implementation—producing the artifacts and decisions that enable engineering teams to build quickly while maintaining a high bar for usability and clarity.

What You’ll Need
- 4–6+ years of product design experience, ideally in a high-growth startup or venture-backed environment.
- Strong proficiency with Figma for interface design, prototyping, and design system contribution.
- Experience designing complex product workflows (SaaS platforms, data-heavy interfaces, or operational tools).
- Ability to produce clear wireframes, interaction flows, prototypes, and final UI specifications for engineering teams.
- Experience collaborating directly with product managers and engineers to ship production-ready features.

- Translate ambiguous product ideas into clear end-to-end user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs that are ready for engineering implementation.
- Design complex, system-driven product experiences that integrate seamlessly into an existing product (not one-off features).
- Contribute to and evolve our design system, creating scalable patterns and maintaining consistency across the product.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customers, including shadowing and direct interaction to inform design decisions.
- Bring strong curiosity and learning mindset, with a high bar for clarity, usability, and simplicity—especially in complex, operational environments (healthcare/insurance experience a plus).
