About the Role
The UX Design Intern will work closely with our product design team to support the end-to-end design process across key product initiatives. This role offers meaningful exposure to user research, interaction design, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced product environment. This is an unpaid internship intended for educational and professional development purposes. Academic credit may be arranged where applicable. Undergrad students are encouraged to apply!
Location: This role is office-based at our Bellevue, Washington office.
What Youll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Support the design of product features from initial discovery through delivery, including wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Assist in planning and executing user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, and synthesis of findings
- Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of Armada AIs design system
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure design intent is accurately implemented
- Participate in design reviews, critiques, and cross-functional planning sessions
- Document design decisions and communicate rationale clearly to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related discipline
- A portfolio demonstrating UX process and problem-solving ability across one or more projects
- Proficiency in Figma or equivalent design and prototyping tools
- Familiarity with user research methodologies and usability principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present work clearly to cross-functional audiences
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and adapt to evolving priorities
